Donald Keys.
Born 1958, in the coastal town of Bulli, Donald is an artist who is heavily influenced by the juxtaposition of his hometown’s heavy industry and environmentally sensitive beaches. He paints using vibrant colours that are quintessentially Australian. The picturesque scenery of Bulli, with ocean meeting the sea, has followed his life, which can be noticed in his oeuvre. The paintings are so vibrant and optimistic, that the artist wishes for the viewer to escape the gloom reality of every day. They are a ray of sunshine achieved with a paint brush.
