Peter Bowles.

Peter Bowles is recognised as one of Australia’s finest makers. A prolific and fastidious artist, he has exhibited, lectured, researched and made work throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA.

Peter Bowles holds a Master of Arts (Visual Art) from Curtin University, Western Australia. From 1987 to 1989 he studied Glass Design at Stourbridge College of Technology and Art in United Kingdom. His works have been exhibited widely, including Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Canada, South Korea, France and Germany.

As a glassmaker he has been invited as international artist for the 21th Namseoul International Glass Festival, Seoul, Korea; has been a guest lecturer in Tsinghau University, Beijing, China; or has been a Master in Residence in Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, to name a few. In 2017 Bowles won Premiers Award for Excellence, Tasmania Craft Fair and Artist Investment funding through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts.
