Paul Franko.
Paul Franko is based in Brisbane, Queensland. He is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in Abstract Painting, Urban Pop Art and Industrial Style Art. His art has been seen in and on: Selling Houses Australia, The Block 2019, Home Design Magazine or Grand Designs Australia Magazine. He works with large formats for fashionable homes and commercial projects. He started in the graphic industry, but he later preferred to work with a real brush rather than a computer mouse. Franko’s pieces feature a lot of colour which he loves. He likes to push boundaries with subject matter, even to just put a smile on viewer’s face. His concept is appropriation from the visual culture of today and the past. He refers to it as “recycling”. Franko is inspired by some icons, including: Andy Warhol, David Bromley, Blek, Mis Tic and Banksy.
