Lorenzo Cascio.
Lorenzo Cascio, artist, born in Sicily in Sciacca in 1940, has lived for years in Liguria, where he has his art studio in the famous square of Portofino. He began his career at a very young age as a ceramist in Sciacca, and was one of the first founders of a school that brought the ancient tradition of ceramic art back to the town. He was professor of sculpture at the State Art Institute of Chiavari (GE) until 1983. In 1991 he sculpted the magnificent bronze door of the church of San Giorgio in Portofino.
