Represented Artist

Cindy Morton Pwerle.

Cindy Morton Pwerle was born in 1976 in Utopia region of Northern Territory. Her language was Alyawarre. She died in 2021. She came from a family of talented artists. Cindy developed her art alongside her mother and family. Cindy created her own unique style using a myriad of fine, layered dots to depict the Bush Plum Dreaming – an important Dreaming in her country.  Her paintings have great depth, movement and texture.  The fine dots capture the bush plum in various stages of ripeness and the white lines that lie on top are indicative of the cracked desert earth upon which they grow.
